The story of Hippolytos is enacted as Topeng masked drama and delivered in English by a narrator, while the choruses, sung in the original Greek, are set to west Javanese dance originally devised by Untung Hidayat. A revival of ID 2837, with the addition of a short programme of the original Balinese and Javanese dances from which the choreography for the production emerged.
