A notice advertising the performance in the Detroit Free Press (7 March 1917), states that it is the first original language Greek tragedy to be attempted in Michigan. Proceeds were given to American Red Cross. The onstage Chorus were accompanied by a 'concealed' choir and 'support by two flutes, two clarinets, a harp and a piano' (Art and Archaeology, Vol. VI, p.22).
