This was first production of Cherubini's opera beyond Italy; it was originally written for Turin in 1788 (see Production ID 7561). The libretto names the Ballet Master and the principal dancers, but as no dancing is incorporated in the operatic action, the ballets were probably used as interval entertainment and not linked to the opera itself.
