This Latin tragedy, which was never performed, was written between 1426 and 1427 by Gregorio Correr, is based on the story of Tereus, Procne, and Philomena, familiar from Ovid's Metamorphosis (6.424-674). Correr's Progne is also modelled on Seneca's tragedies (especially Medea).
