An inscription from the Athenian Agora records a revival of Diphilus’ Misanthropoi (the name of the author and the play are both conjectures) which won first prize for the actor Callias. A revival of Menander’s Phasma (The Ghost), acted by Dioscurides, came second. The exact date of the performance, in the archonship of Alcibiades, is unclear. For actor see I.E. Stephanis, Dionysiakoi Technitai: Symboles stên prosôpographia tou theatrou kai tês mousikês tôn archaiôn Hellênôn (Heraklion: University of Crete, 1988), no. 1323.
