Production notes:
It is not known when this play was produced. The date range for performance given here is between the year of his first competition (acc. to Suda) and his death (Marm. Par.). It is assumed here that this play would have been produced in Athens. This was the third play in Aeschylus' Lycurgeia (Lycurgus tetralogy). The plays before it were: Edonians, Bassarids, and the satyr drama was Lycurgus.
