The inscription records that a tragedy by Sophocles was performed at the Charitesia in Orchomenus, c. 100 BC. The title of the play is unknown. Aminias also competed in the same festival. The competition in old Comedy at this festival was won by Callistratus, the competition in old Tragedy at this festival was won by Hippocrates; the same festival had competitions in satyr-play (won by the playwright Aminias) and comedy (won by the playwright Alexandrus). Callistratus is also recorded in the same inscription as the victor in the Homoloia at Orchomenos.
