Euripides wrote two plays with this title. We do not know when either of them was produced. The date range for performance given here ranges from the date of Euripides' first competition to the date of his last year competing in the Dionysia before leaving to go to Macedon (see Life of Euripides for both). The performance venue and location is not certain, but it is assumed here that this play would have been performed in Athens.
