We do not know when the Sons of Antenor was first produced. The date range given here is based on Sophocles' first competition (Mar. Par) and his last (Life of Euripides 2). It is assumed here that the play would have been performed in Athens. It has been suggested that this play was identical with Laocoon, or The demand for Helen's return (Helenes Apaitesis).
