Nicostratus came second with this play, the first part of the title is lost, the second part translates as ‘watcher’. The actor was Callippus the Younger. The winning play was Philippides’ Mustis (The Initiate), other new comic plays were Ameinias’ Apoleipousa (The Runaway Wife), the Pankratiastes probably by Theophilus and a play called Paidion (The Baby) by an unknown author. A revival of Anaxandrides’ Thesauros (Treasure) was also performed. For actor, see I.E. Stephanis, Dionysiakoi Technitai: Symboles stên prosôpographia tou theatrou kai tês mousikês tôn archaiôn Hellênôn (Heraklion: University of Crete, 1988), no. 1353, and P. Ghiron-Bistagne, Recherches sur les acteurs dans la Grèce antique (Paris : Les Belles Lettres, 1976), p. 40
