It is not certain that this 'Glaucus' was a separate play in its own right, or whether the fragments making up this play ought to be assigned to Aeschylus' other Glaucus plays: Glaucus Pontios (Glaucus the Sea god) or Glaucus Potnieus (Glaucus of Potniae). If it was indeed a separate play, then we do not know when it was performed. The date range for performance given here is between the year of his first competition (acc. to Suda) and his death (Marm. Par.). It is assumed that this play would have been produced in Athens.
